The Bed and Breakfast Experience.

“The Bed and Breakfast Experience” is the term sometimes used to describe the differences offered by bed and breakfasts compared to hotels. Instead of staying in a predictable hotel you will experience individual charm and individual attention.

Traffic and Road Condition Reporting

A traffic report is an element of a radio program or TV news broadcast that informs listeners about general traffic conditions. The reports generally list the locations and severity of traffic accidents, construction detours and slowdowns, etc., on the roadways within the broadcast area. In the United States, the broadcast area is generally defined by utilizing statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau and from a ratings company, such as Arbitron.

Quebec City: C’est Charmant!

I think most Americans are surprised when they visit Quebec City, Canada for the first time. For one thing, it feels like an ancient city. It’s the only city in North America with its original city walls. Quebec is very dramatic, perched high on a cliff overlooking the St. Lawrence Seaway. It has a long and fascinating history. It was the capitol of New France in the 16th century.

Raffles Hotel: Icon of Romance and Adventure in Singapore

Raffles Hotel: the very name evokes grandeur, romance, and intrigue in the mysterious orient. Opened in 1887, the hotel has grown from its original bungalow to a magnificent palace of Georgian and tropical splendor. Named for the founder of modern Singapore, Sir Stamford Raffles, the hotel has become one of the worlds most iconic and beloved Grand Hotels. Host to a long list of notables, the hotel was a favorite stopping place for Somerset Maugham, Noel Coward, Rudyard Kipling, and Joseph Conrad, among others. Myth and legends abound about Raffles. One that is true is that the last tiger in Singapore was tracked to Raffles, and captured beneath one of the billiard tables. It’s hard to imagine a time when that was possible. Another icon, the Singapore Sling, was invented at Raffles.

If you want to see other dates, I am sure the prices are similar, you will just have to go to a booking firm and check to be sure, or convince your school to change their spring break dates, whichever you choose.

The Strip or Downtown in Vegas

I went to Las Vegas just last week. I went with the goal to find out for my readers which was the best value, the strip or downtown. I stayed 2 nights at each and took part in activities on both. I easily decided that down town Las Vegas is a much better value than the strip. It is cheaper, has more history, pays better to gamblers and you can still easily make a trip to the strip.
